Let’s Rewind…
2012 – Creative Finesse
- 4-year full-time training in acting. A part-practical / part-academic course.
- Whilst I was studying/decoding the literary greats (Shakespeare, Chekhov, Sun Tzu), I was concurrently performing their work in fully-funded theatrical productions.
- Awarded a Bachelor of Creative Arts, with Honours.
2015 – Personal (and Business) Branding
- Upon graduating, I was offered theatrical representation.
- Securing representation at the age of 18 required an accurate (and brutally honest) understanding of one’s attributes, appearance and, most importantly, how you are perceived as a product in the marketplace.
2016 – Storytelling For A Living
- Ultimately, my acting career led to:
- numerous public speaking events
- performing to many thousands of people
- being cast as lead in multiple mid-budget ($200k+) independent films
- receiving firearms training from Australia’s leading entertainment firearms expert who trained Tom Cruise
- being cast in a leading role in a Hollywood feature film
- being shortlisted as Draco Malfoy’s son in Australia’s $44,000,000 theatrical production Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
2019 – A Logical Progression
- Graduated with a Juris doctor of Law from a prestigious university where, in courses like contract law, commercial law, and intellectual property, I honed my skills in logic, critical thinking, and persuasion to effectively advocate on paper and in person.

2022 – Legal Eagle to Empowerment Strategist
I was quickly offered a position at one of the oldest and most reputable property and commercial law firms in QLD. This gave me invaluable insight into the intricacies of large scale property transactions, business operations, and commercial litigation. While practicing law, I was often required to communicate complex legal concepts to clients in a clear and understandable manner, distilling complicated ideas into digestible content.
I learned how to position clients in their most advantageous light. In doing so, I honed my strategic thinking, completed my Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, and attained my admission to the Supreme Court as an Australian Lawyer.
During client meetings, I started to notice that oftentimes clients weren’t retaining my services for their lack of technical knowledge in securing a contract or settling a disagreement, but rather they felt they lacked the personal power and refinement to assert their position. This was frustrating to witness — it often felt like I was providing a temporary fix for the individual rather than a permanent solution. As time went by, I realised I wanted to empower the client rather than merely enable.
2023 – Strategic Analysis meets Social Perception
I learned some valuable skills practising law: self-advocacy, persuasion, and negotiation. However, outside of the transactional nature of my duties, I didn’t have much opportunity to use these on a larger scale. I also knew these skills were extremely valuable for any person in any line of work. Drawing on my analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail, I was perfectly poised to empower others, helping them assert themselves and own their life direction — making the transition into educational consulting a logical choice for delivering permanent, lasting solutions.

While the law gave me the tangible and influential impact I wanted, there was little room for creativity. Instead of litigating businesses in court, my true desire was to build individuals up. I knew that a client’s unshakeable self-integrity was integral in this process. I wanted an environment of growth and collaboration. Accordingly, I distilled everything I had learned to date about performance, confidence, and self-advocacy into teachings that I discuss in my newsletter.
In essence, my transition from martial arts, acting and law to leadership development consulting is not a shift, but an extension of my professional journey.
If you’re interested in the principles that I learned in performance, confidence, and self-advocacy over my 14 years in the legal and entertainment industries, allow me to help. My newsletter, ‘The Ember Letter’, is the best first place to start — it’s free. Alternatively, if you need to fast-track your results, please get in touch. I assist professionals, executives, and leadership teams of all levels, and I would be most interested to hear your story!
